Quick pampushkas in a skillet: you can cook without electricity

The situation when there is no electricity at home and no bread has been delivered to the stores is familiar to all Ukrainians. Therefore, you need to come up with universal options that are hearty and quick to prepare. One option is fluffy pampushkas. They can be made simply in a frying pan and then eaten with borscht.

Ingredients:

  • 250 ml of warm water
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 7 g of dry yeast
  • 450 g of sifted flour
  • 30 ml of vegetable oil

1. Dissolve the sugar in warm water and add the yeast. When they are foamy, add salt and flour and mix.

2. Add the oil and knead the dough. Put it in a warm place for 40 minutes to rise.

3. You can heat water in a saucepan and put a bowl of dough in the water, covering it with a towel.

4. When it is ready, knead it lightly and divide it into 10-12 pieces.

5. Form the pampushkas and place them on a dry frying pan. Leave covered for 20 minutes to rise.

6. It is better to put parchment under the lid to prevent the doughnuts from sticking.

7. Put on low heat. Fry for 20 minutes on one side and 20 minutes on the other. You can do a little more if you want a crispy crust.

8. Rub with garlic if desired.
