Potato casserole "Tartiflette": a recipe for a hearty dish for a snack
Tartiflette is a traditional French dish made from potatoes with fried bacon and onions under a crust of tender cheese. The dish is also cooked in the oven and can be prepared without bacon.
The cook shared a recipe on Instagram for a very satisfying and delicious potato casserole with cheese and onions.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 300 g of Camembert or Brie cheese
- 1 onion
- 300 g of pancetta or smoked brisket
- 100 ml. white semi-dry wine
- 300 g of sour cream or cream 30%
- salt, pepper – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the potatoes in their skins in salted water until tender. Remove the peel and cut into 0.5 cm thick slices.
2. Chop the pancetta and onion, fry lightly, add the wine at the end, and simmer for a few minutes.
3. Prepare a high-sided baking dish. Put the potatoes (season with salt and pepper), bacon and onions, sour cream and cheese, cut into 4-5 mm slices. Bake in a preheated 180 C oven until golden brown.
