Popular "Kurabie" cookies with filling: how to make at home
"Kurabye" is a crispy cookie with a variety of filling options. Most often it is fruit or berry jam. Therefore, this dessert should be prepared in the summer, so that you can add natural and fresh filling. The dough preparation technology is extremely simple.
The idea of making homemade "Kurabie" cookies was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Viktoriia Didus.
Ingredients:
- butter – 120 g
- powdered sugar – 60 g
- eggs – 1 pc
- flour – 200 g
- baking powder – 0.5 tsp
- vanilla sugar – 1 tsp
- salt – a pinch
- jam – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Beat the butter at room temperature with a mixer for about 1 minute.
2. Add powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt, and beat thoroughly again.
3. Add the egg and beat for about 3 minutes, the mass should increase slightly in volume.
4. Combine the flour with the baking powder and sift and knead it into the mixture in several passes until it is homogeneous.
5. Transfer the dough to a pastry bag and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You can do this without the nozzle, but simply by cutting off the corner of the bag.
6. Make a small indentation with your finger and add your favorite jam.
7. Bake at 190 degrees for about 10-12 minutes until slightly golden brown.
