Pickled pork tongue: how to prepare a successful appetizer
Despite the fact that pickled tongue is not a dish for every day, you can and should treat yourself and your family to this delicacy on a holiday. Most often, beef or veal tongue is used for cooking as they are especially tender and tasty. However, pork tongue is quite budget-friendly and, if you choose a good marinade, you will get an unusually tasty dish.

Ingredients:
- pork tongue - 3 pcs.
- rice vinegar - 50 ml
- table vinegar - 50 ml
- water - 100 ml
- lemon juice - 2 tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 tbsp.
- sugar - 3 tsp.
- chili pepper - 1/2 tsp.
- dried garlic - 1/2 tsp.
- onion - 1 pc
- carrot - 1 pc
- salt
- bay leaves
- black peppercorns
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the tongue and put it in cold water. Bring to a boil.
2. Remove the foam. Add whole onions, carrots, salt, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Cook for 2 hours.
3. Quickly remove from the broth, put in cold water and peel.
4. Combine the necessary ingredients for the marinade: vinegar, lemon juice, water, soy sauce, sugar, chili pepper and garlic.
5. Cut the cooled tongues into slices and put them in a container.
6. Pour the marinade over. Leave in the refrigerator overnight.
