Pickled peeled cherry tomatoes that can be eaten already in a day
Pickled peeled cherry tomatoes are an ideal appetizer both for everyday and festive table. They are spicy, flavorful, with a pleasant sweetish taste and sourness. This dish is very easy to prepare. Moreover, high-quality small tomatoes can now be found in every store.
Famous Ukrainian chef Liza Hlinska (lizaglinskaya) shared the idea of cooking delicious pickled peeled tomatoes on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cherry tomatoes - 1 kg
Ingredients for the marinade:
- water - 1 liter (5 glasses of 200 ml)
- salt - 35 g (1 tbsp + 1 tsp)
- sugar - 35 g (1 tbsp + 3/4 tbsp)
- vinegar (9%) - 35 ml (2 tbsp + 1 tsp)
- bay leaf
- black peppercorns
- garlic - 5-6 cloves
- onion - 1 small onion
- dill - 20-30 g
Method of preparation:
1. Prepare the marinade.
2. Combine salt, sugar, vinegar, bay leaf, and black peppercorns in a bowl and pour hot water over.
3. Stir to dissolve the salt and sugar.
4. Leave the marinade to cool.
5. Take tomatoes. Do not cut off the tails.
6. Make several punctures on the fruit with a toothpick.
7. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes for 1 minute. Drain and add cold water.
8. Drain again when the tomatoes crack.
9. Cut the onion into thin rings and garlic into slices.
10. Put dill, onion and garlic on the bottom of the bowl.
11. Peel the tomatoes, put them in a bowl with the dill, onion and garlic.
12. Pour the marinade over the tomatoes, cover with cling film and refrigerate for a day.
