Pickled cucumbers that can be stored in the apartment: we share the secrets of cooking
Cucumbers can be preserved for the winter with mustard, berry leaves, vinegar, and ketchup. They can also be fermented and pickled.
The cook shared a recipe on Instagram for delicious, crispy, and easy-to-prepare pickles.
Ingredients:
- Cucumbers
- Salt.
- Herbs: horseradish leaves, dill umbrellas, cherry and currant leaves
- Spices: bay leaf, black and allspice, garlic
Method of preparation:
1. Put herbs and spices on the bottom of clean jars.
2. Fill the jars tightly with cucumbers, and add salt at the rate of 1 tablespoon of salt per 1 liter. Cover with clean cold water, close the lids, and leave at room temperature for 3 days.
3. Then pour all the brine into a saucepan, and add a little clean water. Put on the fire and bring to a boil. Foam will form – remove it with a slotted spoon.
4. Pour the boiling brine over the cucumbers and seal!
Cucumbers should be stored in a dark, cold place!
