Canned peaches are not only a great option for filling a variety of pies, buns, and other pastries, but also an extremely tasty dessert that can be eaten as an independent dish. This fruit in canned form is quite expensive, but nothing prevents you from making it yourself.
Food blogger Anna Sholkova shared how to do it on Instagram. If you follow her recipe, the canned peaches will turn out to be extremely tasty and can be enjoyed throughout the winter.

Ingredients for a liter jar
- peaches - 1 kg
- water - 500 ml
- sugar - 250 grams
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- mint - optional
The method of preparation
1. Peel the peaches, cut them in half and remove the pits.
2. Mix sugar and water in a saucepan. Add lemon juice and mint as desired.
Make syrup.

3. Bring the syrup to a boil to completely dissolve the sugar. Add the mint.
4. Add the peaches to the syrup and cook for 5 minutes.

6. Pour the peaches in a sterilized jar.
7. Bring the syrup to a boil again and pour it into the jar.
Pour into jars.

8. Close the jar with a lid, turn it over and wrap it in a warm blanket until it cools completely.
