Pancakes with strawberries: how to make a delicious seasonal dish

Pancakes are one of our favorite breakfast options. They are very easy to prepare and have an unrivaled taste that can be complemented with your favorite jam, syrup, or berries. And since it's strawberry season, it's simply impossible not to use it to make pancakes.

Food blogger Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi knows how to do it right. On Instagram, he said that pancakes with strawberries are one of his favorite dishes, which he prepares every year as soon as the season of ripe berries begins.

Ingredients

  • kefir - 170 ml
  • strawberries - 80 gr
  • egg - 1 pc
  • flour - 140 gr
  • sugar - 45 gr
  • baking powder - 5-6 g

Ingredients for the sauce

  • strawberries - 150 g
  • sugar - 25 g
  • lemon juice - a drop

Method of preparation

1. Mix kefir and strawberries. Beat with a blender until smooth.

2. Add the egg and sugar and mix with a whisk.

3. Add flour and baking powder. Mix well. You should get a consistency similar to one of sour cream.

4. Heat a frying pan and add odorless vegetable oil. Spoon the batter and form a thin layer of pancakes. Fry on both sides.

5. Prepare the sauce. Peel and chop the strawberries. Heat part of the strawberries with lemon juice and sugar until they boil. Leave the rest fresh for serving.

6. Pour hot strawberry "sauce" over the finished pancakes and add a spoonful of whipped cream with sugar or fatty sour cream with sugar.
