To make delicious homemade ketchup for the winter, you don't even need tomatoes. You can use one much cheaper seasonal vegetable, and it will be much easier.

Recipe for homemade zucchini ketchup

Ingredients:
- zucchini - 1.5 kg.
- onions - 500 g
- tomato paste - 450 g
- sugar - 2 cups
- salt - 2 tbsp
- ground paprika - 1 tsp.
- vinegar - 1 glass 9%
- cloves - 3 buds
Method of preparation:
Zucchini for making ketchup
1. Grind the zucchini and onion in a meat grinder or finely dice them.
2. Add salt and sugar to the zucchini mixture and cook for 30 minutes after boiling, stirring occasionally.

3. After 30 minutes of cooking, add vinegar, tomato paste, paprika and cloves.
4. Cook for another 10 minutes.

5. Beat everything with a blender until smooth.
6. Put into sterile jars and tighten the lids.
