No flour, no semolina, no sugar: how to make perfect syrniki from two ingredients
Homemade syrniki are the perfect breakfast, dessert, and snack. They can be prepared in different ways and supplemented with your favorite filling: banana, apple, berries, chocolate, poppy seeds, raisins. The most important thing in cooking is not to overfill the dough with flour or add too many eggs so that the syrniki do not fall apart.
The FoodOboz editorial team has chosen and will share with you the simplest recipe for syrniki, which uses only one egg in the dough, and does not require adding flour, semolina, or even sugar.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese 5% - 400 g
- eggs - 1 pc
Method of preparation:
1. Add the egg to the cottage cheese and mix the mixture with a spoon until smooth.
2. Form the syrniki from the resulting mass, put them on a board floured with flour (preferably rice) and use a glass to shape them into the desired shape.
3. Put the syrniki on a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil and fry them under the lid on both sides until golden brown. They are ready!
A few cooking secrets:
- The cottage cheese must be dense. If there is excess whey, it is better to grind the curd through a sieve or hang it in cheesecloth and leave it like that overnight.
- It is better not to add flour to the dough, only when forming the syrniki. If necessary, it can be replaced with semolina.
- Be sure to fry the syrniki under a lid.
