Marble dumplings: how to make a real culinary masterpiece out of a familiar dish
No one can be surprised by the usual dumplings, no matter what filling is used. Therefore, if you want to really impress the people who will taste the dish, you should pay attention to this recipe.
A food blogger with the nickname recepti_dariko and Instagram published a recipe for marble dumplings. She explained how to cook them properly and what kind of filling is most suitable for them.
Ingredients for the dough
- Flour - 300 g + 1 tbsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Sour cream - 1 cup
- Egg - 1 pc
- Cocoa - 1 tbsp
Ingredients for the filling
- Cottage cheese - 500 gr
- Egg - 1 pc
- Salt - a pinch
- Sugar - 150 g
- Vanilla sugar - 1 tsp
- Starch - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparation
1.Combine all the ingredients for the dough except cocoa and 1 tbsp of flour in a deep bowl and knead the dough.
2. Divide the resulting dough into two halves. Add cocoa to one half and flour to the other. Knead and cover with cling film.
3. Prepare the filling. Combine all the ingredients and blend with a blender.
4. Roll out both halves of the dough into thin layers.
5. Brush the cocoa-free dough layer with water and spread the chocolate layer on top. Roll it with a rolling pin and roll it into rolls.
6. Cut the resulting rolls into pieces, which will be the dumplings.
7. Roll out each piece of dough and form dumplings.
8. Boil the dumplings in salted water for 2 minutes after the dumplings are on the surface and the water has boiled.
