Cooking lazy cabbage rolls is much faster than making a classic version of this dish. Young cabbage is ideal for the dish. For juiciness and density of the minced meat, add boiled rice to the meat.

The idea of cooking juicy cabbage rolls with young cabbage for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Julia Simonchuk (cook julija simonchuk). The dishes will be low-fat because they are baked in the oven.

Ingredients:

  • rice - 1/2 cup
  • minced meat - 400 g
  • cabbage - 400 g
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • carrot - 1 pc.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • water - 1 cup
  • garlic - 2-3 cloves
  • tomato paste - 2 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Pour boiling water over the shredded cabbage and set aside for 10 minutes, drain.

2. Meanwhile, cook the rice until half cooked (the proportions indicated on the package are usually 1:2).

3. Let it cool down.

4. Fry the chopped onions and carrots until soft.

5. Mix rice, minced meat, cabbage, carrots and onions.

6. Add the egg, salt, pepper, and seasoning to the cabbage rolls as desired.

7. Knead and form into balls.

8. Fold it into a shape.

9. Pour tomato paste diluted in a glass of water.

10. Put to bake at 180 degrees for an hour.

11. Serve with sour cream.
