Lazy pita bread pasties without rolling out the dough: cooked in minutes
Chebureks made from pita bread are much easier to make than those made from regular dough. You don't have to knead or roll anything out. Just put the filling, shape the product and fry it – everything is as simple and quick as possible.
The idea of making lazy pita bread pasties was published on the Instagram page of cook Olha Riabenko (olga_riabenko). You can use any kind of minced meat.
Ingredients:
- any minced meat - 500 g
- water - 150 ml.
- salt, pepper - to taste
- herbs (parsley or cilantro) - 10 g
- onion - 2 pcs.
- hard cheese - 200 g
- round pita bread - 8-10 pcs.
- oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Add grated or blended onion, chopped herbs, salt, pepper and water to the minced meat.
2. Immerse the pita bread completely in water for 2 seconds to soften it.
3. Put the minced meat on one half of the pita bread.
4. Add grated cheese on top and cover with the other half.
5. Press the edges well.
6. Fry over moderate heat until tender.
