Incredible peach galette: the easiest dough recipe

Galette is exactly the kind of pastry that everyone likes, and even the housewives who make it. The fact is that it is not only delicious, but also quite easy to prepare. And you can use any filling to your liking.

Food blogger Kateryna Kolomoyets decided to simplify the work on the galette even more. On Instagram, she offered a recipe for making it with peach filling, providing the simplest version of the dough.

Ingredients for the dough

  • Flour - 225 gr
  • Cold butter - 150 gr
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Ice water - 3 tbsp

Ingredients for the filling

  • Peaches - 2-3 pcs
  • Corn starch - 1 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Egg yolk - 1 pc
  • Chopped nuts

Method of preparation

1. Add sugar and salt to the sifted flour and mix thoroughly.

2. Roll the cold butter in flour and grate.

3. Mix into crumbs. Add ice water and knead the elastic dough.

4. Put the dough in cling film/bag and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.

5. Rinse the peaches thoroughly, dry them, remove the pit and cut them into thin slices.

6. Roll out the dough on the parchment and put the peaches on it, slightly stepping back from the edges.

7. Sprinkle the peaches with starch and sugar.

8. Form a galette.

9. Grease the sides with egg yolk and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

10. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees.
