How to prepare Fur Coat salad without herring and mayonnaise: recipe for a healthy version
If you don't have herring and mayonnaise at home but still want to make Fur Coat salad, you can get out of the situation quite easily. Often, there is a fish steak (for example, salmon) in the freezer that can save the day. And instead of fatty mayonnaise, sour cream will do.
A food blogger with the nickname ira.smachnenko shared a recipe for a healthier version for Fur Coat salad on her Instagram page. This version of the salad is also suitable for children.
Ingredients:
- 250 gr. salmon (steak)
- 1 carrot
- 2 potatoes
- 2 eggs
- 1 beetroot
- greens and onions as desired
- 100 g of sour cream
Method of preparation:
1. Boil vegetables and eggs. Bake the salmon (rub with spices if desired) at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
2. Grate the following products in layers, brushing each with a little sour cream: beets, carrots, potatoes, and eggs (whites), Divide the fish into small pieces and top the salad with them.
3. Garnish with herbs.
