How to pickle tomatoes quickly: you can eat in a few hours

If you've already prepared tomatoes for the winter, but want a savory snack right now, you should try the following idea. The vegetable does not lose its attractive appearance and remains intact.

A quick idea for making pickled tomatoes was shared by the famous Ukrainian food blogger Valerii Ponomar (ponomar_valeriy) on his Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • tomatoes – 500 g
  • a bunch of parsley
  • a bunch of dill
  • garlic – 2-3 cloves
  • hot pepper – 1/2 pc
  • salt – 1/2 tsp
  • sugar – 1 tsp
  • wine vinegar 6% – 1/2 tbsp

Method of preparation:

1. Choose small tomatoes to marinate whole. Make a cross-shaped cut, but not all the way through, so that the tomato retains its integrity.

2. Stir carefully, too.

3. Marinate in the refrigerator in an airtight container or covered with cling film.

4. They're ready in a few hours, but they'll taste even better in a day.

5. Adjust the amount of salt to your liking after an hour.
