How to marinate mackerel deliciously at home: very quick to prepare

Mackerel has a lot of meat and a few small bones. That's why this fish is ideal for marinating. In addition, the technology is very simple and budget-friendly.

The idea of cooking homemade pickled mackerel was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname valway_ka_. It is delicious with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients per kilogram of fish:

  • water - 250 ml.
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • salt - 80 g

Method of preparation:

1. Combine the ingredients for the marinade.

2. Boil and cool.

3. Clean the fish and cut it into small (not wide) pieces.

4. Add bay leaves and peppercorns.

5. Pour the cooled marinade over the fish.

6. Leave for 2 hours under the press.

7. Add 80 ml of vinegar.

8. Leave for another 2 hours.

9. Drain the marinade.

10. Put the fish in a jar.

11. Put in the refrigerator.
