How to marinate lard deliciously: the best recipe for spicy marinade
The simplest, most budget-friendly, and at the same time healthy product is lard. It can be eaten raw, and this is the most correct way to eat this product. In addition, it is often added to minced meatballs, baked in the oven, fried in a pan, made into dumplings, cooked with potatoes, and made into delicious garlic spreads, as well as salted and pickled.
Cook Maryna shared a recipe on Instagram for a delicious, spicy lard marinade based on garlic, spices, and water.
Ingredients for the marinade:
- Water – 1 liter
- Black peppercorns – 15 pcs
- Bay leaf – 6 pcs
- Ground coriander – 1 tbsp
- Garlic – 1 head
- Salt – 4 tbsp
Method of preparation:
1. Bring water to a boil and boil for 2-3 minutes, be sure to cool.
2. Cut the bacon into cubes.
3. Cut one head of garlic into rings.
4. Put the bacon in a container, covering it with garlic.
5. Pour over the cooled marinade, cover, and leave for three days at room temperature.
6. Then put it in the refrigerator for a day, be sure to wrap each piece of bacon in cling film and put it in the freezer.
Cook's tip: defrost the bacon slightly before serving and cut it into thin slices!
