One of the most delicious, tender and easy to prepare cakes is Napoleon. Its basis is light, thin cakes and fragrant, vanilla custard. You can prepare it in different ways, add chocolate, berries and fruits, but the basis - the cakes, should be perfect, because it is from them depends on the flavor and structure of the dessert.
Blogger Dasha Yevtukh shared in Instagram a recipe for a very tasty homemade "Napoleon", which is very easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
For the batter:
Sour cream - 200 g
Butter - 200 g
Flour - 500-600g (see by your dough how much it needs).
For the cream:
Sugar - 250g
Vanilla - a pinch
Milk - 375 ml
Yolks - 6 pcs.
Starch - 3 tbsp. l
Flour - 3 tbsp.
Butter - 200 g
Method of preparation:
1. Crush softened butter with a fork, add sour cream, mix and pour in flour.
2. Knead the dough well with your hands, make a ball and divide it into even pieces, these are the future cakes. Put the balls in a bowl, cover with cling film and put in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
2. Cream: put the saucepan on the fire, separate the yolks, add sugar, whisk everything, pour in the warm milk and keep stirring, then pour in the flour and starch and mix well. The cream should be homogeneous. Be sure to let it cool down.
3 Roll out the dough, prick each cake with a fork, transfer to a baking tray and bake until golden.
4. In a bowl, beat butter, add cream and continue beating.
5. Assemble the cake, sprinkle the top and edges with crumbs from the cakes, send it to the refrigerator for a few hours to soak well.
