Seasonal zucchini can not only be fried and baked, but also made into jam. Just add the right amount of sugar and the vegetable becomes caramelized and sweet. During cooking, the cubes remain intact and do not turn into jam.

The idea of making zucchini jam was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olena with the nickname helena_bas88. You only need 4 ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • zucchini - 2 kg
  • lemon - 1 pc
  • orange - 1 pc
  • sugar - 1.800-2 kg of sugar

Method of preparation:

1. Peel young zucchini, cut into cubes. If the zucchini is old, choose the middle.

2. Cover with sugar, mix and leave for 30 minutes.

3. Put the pot on the fire, bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes.

4. Cool.

5. Add chopped lemon and orange or grind in a meat grinder.

6. Bring to a boil and simmer for an hour over low heat.

7. Pour the finished jam into jars and close the lids.

8. Put in a cool place for the winter.
