How to make jam cake: the simplest pastry for tea
If there's a jar of jam waiting for its turn for tea, it's time to use it. After all, you can make a delicious cake. All you need is a little free time and a few ingredients to make a tasty dessert for tea.

Ingredients:
- butter - 200 g
- eggs - 2 pcs
- sugar - 140 g
- baking powder - 10 g
- flour - 400 g
- jam - 400 g
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Beat room temperature butter with sugar and salt with a mixer.
2. Add eggs one by one, whisking each time.
3. Add flour and baking powder and knead the dough with your hands.
4. Roll out the dough on parchment into a rectangular shape to the size of the baking sheet.
5. Bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes until golden brown.
6. While the cake is hot, cut the sides and divide it in half.
7. Spread the jam on the bottom and top layers of the cakes, sprinkle with crumbs and leave for 5-6 hours.
8. When serving, cut into slices. You can also sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
