How to make glazed cheeses at home: an easy step-by-step recipe

This dessert requires a minimal set of products, and it can be found in every kitchen.

The rbth magazine has a simple recipe for chocolate-covered cheesecakes that we want to share with you. Undoubtedly, such a treat is not only a childhood memory, but also a way to please your child.

What ingredients are needed:

  • 300 g. cottage cheese;
  • 40 g of butter at room temperature;
  • 40 g. powdered sugar;
  • 2 tsp. cocoa powder;
  • a pinch of salt.

Glaze:

  • 80 g of dark chocolate;
  • 20 ml of any odorless vegetable oil.

Step-by-step instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Then beat the mixture with an immersion blender to get a nice creamy consistency.

2. Divide the mixture in half and add the cocoa powder to one part. Mix until well combined.

3. Using a pastry bag or a bag, squeeze small sausages of the mixture 5-7 cm long onto a cutting board covered with cling film. Leave the mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours to harden.

4. While the curds are cooling, prepare the glaze: melt the chocolate in a water bath, add the butter, and mix with a spatula. It should be hot and liquid enough before glazing.

5. Put a cheese sausage on a skewer or toothpick and dip it into the glaze or cover it with a tablespoon on all sides. It's best to do this quickly because the chocolate hardens instantly on a cold surface.

6. Repeat the same with the remaining curds: place them on the board again, and leave them in the refrigerator for another 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely.

7. If desired, you can wrap the finished curds in foil. Store the dessert in the refrigerator.
