How to make elderberry syrup for the winter: can be frozen and stored in the refrigerator
In late spring, the incredible elderberry plant begins to bloom. You shouldn't forget about it, because its inflorescences can become the main ingredient in a delicious syrup. The resulting drink can be opened in the winter, frozen or stored in the refrigerator, or made into a refreshing tonic in the heat of the day.
Food blogger Evelina Melnikova shared a recipe for elderberry syrup on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- elderberry inflorescences - 25 pcs
- sugar - 2 kg
- water - 3 liters

3. Add lemon juice and acid to the syrup.
4. Put the flowers in a deep bowl and pour the syrup over them. Leave for 48 hours.
5. Then strain the syrup through cheesecloth and pour it into glass bottles.
