How to make an appetizer cheese pie in the oven: Olha Matvii's recipe
Traditional cottage cheese pie can be made in both sweet and savory versions. It is even suitable as an appetizer on a festive table. The peculiarity of this dish is in the dough, part of which will need to be boiled. And the most delicious thing, of course, is the filling in the form of three salty types of cheese.
Food blogger Olha Matvii shared a recipe for an appetizer cheese pie with three types of cheese on her YouTube channel Olha Matvii.
Ingredients:
- milk – 250 ml
- garlic – 3 cloves
- eggs – 4 pcs
- salt
- oil – 30 ml
- milk – 200 ml
- flour – 600 g
- three types of any cheese –100 g each
- butter – 50-100 g
- dill
Method of preparation:
1. First you need to prepare the dough. To do this, squeeze the garlic through a press and pour 200 ml of milk over it.
2. Heat the mass in the microwave to make the milk hot. Let it brew for 5-7 minutes. Then strain the milk from the garlic and combine it with the remaining milk.
3. At this stage, combine the eggs, salt, oil, and garlic milk. Stir with a whisk.
4. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough with a spatula. At the same time, leave a small amount of flour and continue kneading the dough on a hard surface with your hands. In the end, it should be elastic.
5. Add about 1 tsp of oil to the dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and leave for 20-30 minutes.
6. Meanwhile, put a pot of water on the stove. Add salt to the water. Also, put some cold water in a separate container.
7. Divide the finished dough into 5 parts. Form two of them into balls and grease them with vegetable oil or wrap in plastic wrap.
8. Roll out the remaining parts very thinly. Next, cut them vertically and then horizontally. You should get small rectangles. Boil them in boiling water for about 2 minutes and then immediately dip them in cold water. Then put everything in separate bowls.
9. At this stage, prepare the cheese filling. Grate the hard cheese. Mix all types of cheese. Add dill to the mixture.
10. Now you need to form the pie. Roll out the two remaining pieces of dough thinly into a rectangle. Put one of them on the bottom of the mold, greased with butter.
11. Put a layer of cheese. Drizzle with butter.
12. Put a layer of boiled dough pieces. Sprinkle with cheese and drizzle with butter. Form the pie in this way until you run out of ingredients. Put the remaining raw dough on top.
13. Make a few cuts in the pie and brush it with butter or mayonnaise. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
