How to fry potatoes correctly so that they do not turn into mush: life hack
Properly fried potatoes hold their shape perfectly, do not fall apart and do not turn into mush. To cook this dish properly, you need to know some life hacks.
On his Instagram page, chef Vasyl Mishlen shared some rules for frying potatoes so that they don't fall apart and keep their shape.
How to properly fry potatoes:
1. First, peel and cut the potatoes into not-too-thin slices.
2. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. After that, dry the potatoes well.
4. The choice of frying pan is also important. Therefore, you should choose a frying pan with high sides and a thick bottom.
5. There should be enough oil to fry the potatoes.
6. During cooking, the potatoes should be stirred only once. Otherwise, they will turn into mush.
7. When the potatoes are ready, drain off the excess oil, and only then add salt, spices, and herbs.
