How to freeze broth: a universal preparation for a variety of dishes
Chicken broth is a part of many dishes. Therefore, to avoid spending a lot of time preparing this product every time, you can freeze it. The preparation can be stored for a long time.
Food blogger Daryna Ivanova (eatme daily) shared how to conveniently freeze broth on Instagram. The product does not lose its beneficial properties.
Benefits of using frozen broth:
1. In the preparation of risotto, cream soups, cereals, and classic dishes.
2. Huge time savings. If cooking soup takes 2 hours, then with ready-made broth - only 40 minutes.
3. It is convenient. Cook once, store in a container or small trays and always have it at hand.
Ingredients:
- chicken - 1.5 kg.
- water - 2.5 liters.
- bay leaf - 1 pc.
- oil - 1 tbsp.
- onion - 1 pc.
Method of preparation:
1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the finely chopped onion and fry, stirring, for 2-3 minutes.
3. Transfer to a plate.
4. Increase the temperature and fry the chopped chicken in several batches.
5. Return the onion.
6. Pour in 2 liters of boiling water, add 1 bay leaf.
7. Add salt (1-2 tsp) if desired.
8. Increase the temperature to maximum, bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 30 minutes, periodically removing the foam.
9. Freeze the finished broth - it can be stored for 3-4 months. In the refrigerator for up to two days.
10. It is convenient to freeze in an ice cube tray, collect the cubes in a tray and use as needed. 3-5 cubes will be enough for one soup.
