How to freeze borscht to keep it healthy: simple tips
Borscht is a symbol of the national cuisine of Ukraine, which is loved by everyone. There are many recipes for this dish, and in every region of Ukraine it is prepared in different ways, with different broths, vegetables and with unusual ingredients, such as smoked pears, lard and even fish.

It is worth noting that not all soups and porridge can be frozen, namely those dishes with starchy products like rice, quinoa, and pasta. Do not freeze thick soups with a lot of potatoes. This does not apply to borscht and other soups with few potatoes. Creamy and dairy soups will spoil and become grainy when frozen.
Before freezing the dish, cool it completely!
How to freeze borscht to keep it healthy:
1. Pour the cold dish into plastic freezer bags or food containers.
2. You can also freeze the borscht in glass jars, but in those made from tempered glass only so they don't crack.
How to defrost borscht properly:
1. Transfer it to a saucepan and heat it on the stove.
2. You can pour it into a bowl and heat in the microwave for 1 minute.
