What to do if you have no appetite? Should you force yourself to eat, or just drink different drinks and wait for your body to adapt?

It's important to understand that if you don't eat normally for a long time, your body begins to deplete, and you feel weak and drowsy. Stress, lack of rest, and reduced physical activity lead to loss of appetite. That is why I advise you to force yourself to eat and thus protect your digestive system.

If you don't want solid food, replace it with liquid food. Depending on the conditions and possibilities, eat well-cooked cereals with vegetable or animal fat; and puree soups, which can include vegetables, twisted meat, canned food, or cereals. I also recommend non-acidic jelly and be sure to drink water.

Should we give up sugar, which we think can compensate for the lack of positive emotions?

As a nutritionist, I don't recommend eating sugar. However, it is still necessary to take into account the wartime conditions in which people are living today and what food is available. Sometimes sweets can be the only source of energy and food at all if there is no access to other foods. But just in case, let me remind you that sweets are best consumed at the end of a meal. It can be a spoonful of fruit jam or honey, fruit and dried fruit, or chocolate.

Often, under stress, the stool becomes more frequent. Is this the body's reaction to new conditions?

During acute stress, the body directs its energies to survival, and the digestive system is not on the list of "most important" at this moment. Therefore, intestinal disorders and exacerbations of chronic stomach diseases are now quite common. That is why it is important to protect the digestive system with food and water whenever possible.
