Dried plums are a great wine snack or sandwich ingredient. And you don't even have to buy such a product because you can easily make it at home. Besides, it's the season for such fruits right now.

The idea of making delicious dried plums is published on the smachni.zahotovky Instagram page. You only need a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • plums - 2 kg.
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • salt - 1 tbsp
  • Italian herbs - 2 tbsp.
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • vegetable oil (any) - 200 ml.
  • basil - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Pit the plums, and cut them into halves.

2. Place the plums on a baking sheet, middle up, close together. It is best to put them on parchment.

3. Sprinkle with salt, sugar and Italian herbs.

4. Send the plums to dry in the oven on top-down mode plus convection at 70 degrees.

6. The oven door should be left slightly ajar to prevent condensation from building up inside. The drying time is approximately 5 hours (depending on the type of plum).

7. Put the dried plums in a jar.

8. Add the sliced garlic.

9. Pour warm oil with Italian herbs, and add basil.

10. After cooling, put the jar of dried plums in the refrigerator.

11. It is very important not to heat the oil to a boil, otherwise the plums will simply boil in the boiling oil.

12. For this recipe, you need strong and dense plums, with the pit well separated from the pulp.
