Ingredients:

  • sour apples - 1 kg.
  • sweet pepper - 1 kg.
  • water - 1 liter
  • bay leaves - 3 pcs.
  • cloves - 6 florets
  • black pepper - 15 peas
  • sugar - 100 g
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • apple cider vinegar - 4-5 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Peel peppers from stalks and seeds, cut each into 4 pieces.

2. Pour water over the peppers and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.

3. Rinse the apples, remove the seeds and cut them into 4 pieces.

4. Place 1 bay leaf, 2 clove florets, and 5 peppercorns in each sterilized jar.

5. Place apples and peppers tightly in the jar.

6. Bring water to a boil and fill jars.

7. Cover with lids and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar and salt and bring to the boil.

8. At the end add vinegar, stir, then immediately pour the brine into jars and roll them up.

9. Store in a dark, cool place. Eat not earlier than a month later.
