How to cook soft and juicy liver in 15 minutes: it will not be bitter
The liver is a very specific product that has a bitter flavor and dense texture. So, it needs to be cooked properly. The best option is to stew it with sauce and onions – the dish takes only 15-20 minutes to prepare.
Food blogger Oksana Bilinska (oxana_bil) shared a recipe for fried chicken liver in soy sauce with onions on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver – 600 g
- onions – 2 pcs
- flour – 70 g
- soy sauce – 4 tbsp
- honey – 1 tsp
- water – 100 ml
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the chicken liver, and add a little salt.
2. Then put the liver in a bag with flour and mix well so that each piece is covered with flour.
3. Put the liver in a well-heated frying pan and fry until lightly browned, about a few minutes.
4. Cut the onion into half rings and add to the liver. Stir to combine.
5. Mix soy sauce, water and honey. Add to the liver. Stir and simmer under a closed lid for several minutes.
