Lentils are a complete protein, a healthy alternative to animal products. It contains many trace elements. Usually, lentils are used to make liquid dishes, such as soup or cream soup. Lentil pancakes
Ingredients:
- Lentils – based on the number of pancakes
- Spices – to taste
- Water – less than half a glass
Method of preparation:
- Soak the lentils overnight. Rinse, place in a blender, add your favorite spices and a little water. Blend.
- Bake on both sides over low heat. It is not necessary to use oil.
Serve with a fresh vegetable salad.
Lentil cabbage rolls
Ingredients:
For 6 servings: 1 cup – 240 ml.
- Stewed lentils in tomato sauce – 3-4 cups
- Cabbage – 1 piece ⠀
- Tomato sauce – 2 cups
Method of preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 190 ° C.
2. Boil a head of cabbage.
3. Pour the tomato sauce over the bottom of the baking dish so that it is completely covered.
4. Heat the filling and wrap it in cabbage leaves, put the cabbage rolls in the mold.
5. Pour the sauce on top.
6. Cover with a lid or foil. Put in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes and cook until the cabbage leaves are soft and translucent.
Serve the cabbage rolls with brown rice and pour tomato sauce on top.
Lentil cutlets
Ingredients:
Lentils - 500 g
Onions - 1 pc
Potatoes - 1 pc
Garlic - 1 clove
Salt / pepper - to taste
Sweet paprika - 1 tsp
Suneli hops - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Cover the lentils with water and leave to swell overnight.
2. Drain all the water and twist through a meat grinder 2 times.
3. Grind the onion, garlic and potatoes.
4. Add spices to the minced meat and mix well.
5. Heat a frying pan with oil and fry the cutlets under the lid until golden brown on both sides.
