How to cook herring in a new way: a recipe for an elementary appetizer

If you already have forshmak, pate, and sandwiches in your recipe arsenal, it's time to make stuffed herring. Familiar ingredients and an unusual combination create an exquisite taste.

Ingredients:
- herring
- hard cheese
- mayonnaise
- boiled egg
- boiled carrots
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the herring into 2 pieces, peel and bone it.
2. Cut off the thick part of the herring and cut it into small cubes.
3. Grate the egg, carrot, and cheese on a fine grater.
4. Put the peeled herring on cling film and add the following filling: a layer of mayonnaise – cheese – a layer of mayonnaise – egg – a layer of mayonnaise – carrot – a layer of mayonnaise – chopped herring. Wrap in a roll.
5. Put in the refrigerator for 1 hour, then cut into portions.
