How to bake mackerel deliciously and quickly: a budget way

Of all the types of fish, mackerel is the best choice for baking. It can be used even after freezing, as its delicate flavor is not lost. Traditionally, housewives prepare this product with a lot of carrots and onions, but it will be much more satisfying with cheese.

The idea of cooking baked mackerel with cheese and potatoes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Svitlana with the nickname recepti_svitlana21.

Ingredients:

  • freshly frozen mackerel
  • 2 melted cheeses
  • half an onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt, and pepper to taste
  • potatoes
  • 30 g of hard cheese
  • 1-2 tsp of sour cream

Method of preparation:

1. Peel and boil the potatoes in salted water for 20 minutes. Then cut it into slices.

2. Defrost and clean the fish, cut off the head and tail, and pick out all the bones. You get two parts. Rinse, salt, pepper, and sprinkle with a little lemon juice.

3. Grate the cheese, finely chop the onion, and squeeze the garlic. Mix everything.

4. Put one part of the fish in a baking dish and put the cheese mixture on it, cover with the other part of the fish, and press down a little, brushing with sour cream on top.

5. Put the potatoes around the fish, pepper, and salt, you can add seasoning to the potatoes and put in the oven at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Then take it out, sprinkle it with grated cheese, and put it in for another 10 minutes.
