Ingredients:

  • milk - 1 liter (fat)
  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • 15%-20% sour cream - 200 g.
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • green onions and basil - optional

Method of preparation:

1. Pour the milk into a saucepan and add salt.

2. Bring to a boil.

4. Mix well.

6. Cook for eight minutes, stirring constantly. The curd should start to separate from the whey.

7. Add green onions and dried basil.

8. Fold the cheesecloth in half and place in a colander.

9. Strain the boiled curd mass through it and leave the resulting lump.

10. Make cuts in the cheese container. It can be an ordinary tray of store-bought feta.

11. Put in cheesecloth.

12. Put some weight on top.

13. Set aside for 5 hours. First, leave the cheese at room temperature, and then, when it is no longer warm, put it in the refrigerator.
