Pita bread is a great base for a variety of quick snacks. You can use any of your favorite ingredients for the filling, and it just needs to be wrapped. The dish is prepared in a frying pan in just a few minutes.
The idea of making pita puffs was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olga Holovina (olha.holovina).
Ingredients:
- pita bread - 2 pcs.
- cottage cheese - 300 g.
- hard cheese - 70 g.
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- milk - 60 ml.
- herbs (dill, green onions, parsley) salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. First, mix the cottage cheese, hard cheese, chopped herbs and salt thoroughly with a fork.
2. Beat the eggs and milk in a separate bowl.
3. Cut the pita bread into long strips 5 centimeters wide.
4. Put the filling on them and roll them up.
5. Dip each puff into an egg with milk and fry in a frying pan over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
