Healthy nuggets that even children can eat
Nuggets are a dish of American cuisine, the main ingredient of which is crispy breaded chicken fried in a large amount of oil. It's worth noting that the dish was first cooked in the 1950s and has only grown in popularity since then. Nowadays, it can be easily prepared at home, you just need to choose high-quality meat and make a good breading.
The recipe for tasty and healthy nuggets was shared in the largest Ukrainian-language Facebook group on complementary foods.
Ingredients:
- chicken fillet - 700 g
- eggs - 2-3 pcs.
- cream - 10 g
- Parmesan cheese - 1-3 tbsp.
- bread - 2-3 pieces
- turmeric - a pinch
- curry - a pinch
- nutmeg - to taste
- oatmeal - 100 g
- salt - a pinch
Marinade:
- smoked paprika - 1/2 tsp.
- black pepper - a pinch
- of garlic oil - a few drops
For the sauce:
- natural yogurt - 1-2 tbsp.
- yolk - 1 pc.
- greens - a bunch
- mustard - 1/2 tsp.
- lemon juice - 1 tsp.
- cream cheese - 1-3 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash and cut the meat.
2. Mix salt, pepper, and oil and marinate the meat in this mixture.
3. Beat eggs with cream, and add grated Parmesan cheese.
4. Breading: dry the bread and grind it in a blender, add spices, and mix well. Instead of bread, you can grind oatmeal.
5. Next, dip the meat well in the egg mixture, then bread, put the meat on a baking sheet or dry frying pan, and cook until golden brown.
6. Sauce: mix yogurt with cheese, herbs, mustard, and lemon juice, add grated egg yolk and mix.
Serve the dish hot.
