Healthy homemade sausages for children: one simple ingredient to add

Homemade sausages are the safest for children because you can be sure of the quality of the product. Chicken is the best choice for this dish – it's quite dietary and not greasy. And to make the meat juicy, you need to add one simple ingredient. It is very convenient to prepare such sausages in advance, and then you can simply boil them, even if the power goes out.

The idea of making homemade chicken sausages with zucchini was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha Chymych (olha.chymych). This technique involves adding grated zucchini to the minced meat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 chicken fillet
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • herbs
  • salt/pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Using a meat grinder or blender, beat the fillets into minced meat.

2. Grate the zucchini on a small grater and squeeze out the juice.

3. Combine the minced meat, zucchini, grated garlic, and herbs in a bowl.

4. Stir until smooth.

5. Put the minced meat on the cling film and form a sausage, roll the edges well.

6. Cook in boiling water for 20 minutes.
