Fried oyster mushrooms in kvass batter: the most delicious way to prepare popular fungi
Oyster mushrooms are the easiest mushrooms to cook. They are delicious simply fried in egg batter. They will be golden and puffy if you add kvass to the mixture. Ready mushrooms are served with tasty sauce.
The idea of cooking fried oyster mushrooms in kvass batter was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Myroslava Pekariuk. You can also try adding beer instead of kvass.
Ingredients:
- oyster mushrooms - 450 g
- kvass - 250 ml.
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- flour - 10 tbsp.
- vegetable oil - 100 ml.
- salt, pepper
Ingredients for the sauce:
- sour cream - 3 tbsp.
- garlic - 1-2 cloves
- water - 1 tbsp
- parsley, salt
Method of preparation:
1. Disassemble the washed oyster mushrooms into separate small pieces and dry them with a towel.
2. For the batter, break the eggs in a bowl and add salt and pepper.
3. Beat everything with a fork.
4. Add kvass and stir.
5. Add flour and mix until smooth (the batter should resemble that for pancakes, if it is too liquid, add a little more flour).
6. Heat a frying pan with 100 ml of oil (if not enough, the batter will spread), dip the oyster mushrooms in the batter and fry on both sides until golden brown.
7. Put the fried oyster mushrooms on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
8. For the sauce, combine sour cream, squeezed garlic, salt, parsley, and water.
9. Stir until smooth.
