Meatballs are a great option for a hearty lunch or dinner. They are delicious with mashed potatoes or porridge. To make the dish juicy and tender, you can add young cabbage to the minced meat, the season of which has just begun.

The idea of cooking juicy meatballs with young cabbage was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Halyna with the nickname cooking_with_gala.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g of minced meat
  • 300 g of young cabbage (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 400 ml of water
  • 110 g of sour cream
  • 25 g of flour

Method of preparation:

1. Chop the young cabbage, salt, mash and leave for 30 minutes.

2. Squeeze out excess liquid and combine with minced meat, add spices.

3. Punch down the mass, make balls, roll in flour (2 tbsp), fry on both sides in a frying pan.

4. Put in a saucepan, add hot water, and simmer for 10 minutes.

5. Make the sauce: combine the sour cream with the flour and add the broth from the pan.

6. Mix thoroughly. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.

7. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
