Dumplings with tomato paste and potatoes: an original recipe
Dumplings are one of the simplest, most satisfying and easy-to-cook dishes. They are made with different doughs and fillings. But if you're tired of the classic version, you just need to add new ingredients, such as tomato sauce, which will give the dish a completely new and unusual taste.
Cook Tamara (tomka_recepti) shared a recipe for delicious dumplings with vegetables, spices and tomato sauce on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- onion - 1 pc.
- garlic - 2 cloves.
- carrots - 1 pc.
- potatoes - 3-4 pcs.
- salt, pepper, spices
- water - 1.5 liters
- tomato paste - 1 tbsp.
- dumplings - 500 g
- bay leaf - 1 pc.
Method of preparation:
1. Finely chop onion, garlic and carrot and fry everything in vegetable oil.
2. Add potatoes and fry a little more. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Cover with boiled water, add tomato taste and cook until the vegetables are soft.
4. Add dumplings and bay leaf and cook until the dumplings are done.
Sprinkle with herbs before serving.
