Delicious jam can be made from whole pears. The fruits should be boiled so that they caramelize and do not turn into a homogeneous mass. For this preparation, you need only 3 ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • small pears – 3 kg (they should be firm enough)
  • sugar – 3 kg
  • citric acid – 0.5 tsp

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the pears, remove the noses, and leave the stem.

2. Pour sugar over the pears, and cook for 15 minutes after boiling.

3. Cool, cook again for 15 minutes after boiling. Repeat 4 more times.

4. Someone will need more time, and someone less. You need to be guided by the syrup, it should be thick.

5. Add citric acid one last time.

6. Pour the jam into dry sterile jars.

7. Close the lids.
