What Ukrainian doesn't like delicious, flavorful dumplings with different fillings - there are definitely few of them. In the fall, they can be cooked with healthy cabbage, mushrooms, and, of course, potatoes.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • Cold boiled water - 1 cup
  • Flour - 3-3.5 cups
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Oil - 1 tbsp.
  • Salt - 1 tsp.

Filling:

  • Potatoes - 1 kg
  • Onions - 2 pcs.
  • Salt, pepper - to taste
  • Butter - 20 g
  • Oil - 1-3 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

How to cook delicious dumplings with potatoes
  1. Filling: Peel the onion, cut it into cubes, and fry well in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  2. Boil the potatoes, mash them, add oil, salt, pepper, and fried onions, and mix thoroughly.
  3. Dough: sift the flour, add salt, egg, and oil, and mix, pour in a little water, and mix again to make the dough elastic and not clogged. Let it stand for about 30 minutes.
  4. Roll out the finished dough, squeeze out dumpling circles, put the filling in each one, and seal it well so that the filling does not fall out during cooking.
  5. Boil water, throw in the dumplings, and cook until they float.

It is better to serve immediately, you can make a paste or season it with sour cream.
