Crispy tomato biscuits instead of pizza: easy to prepare
Galette can be made not only with strawberries and peaches, but also with tomatoes. This dish is much easier to make than a classic pizza. The dough is crispy and goes well with the juicy filling.
The idea of making a biscuit with tomatoes was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname ask edith. The dough requires only four ingredients.
Ingredients for the base:
- flour - 160 g
- salt - 1 g
- butter 82 % - 80 g
- cream cheese - 80 g
Ingredients for the filling:
- fresh tomatoes
- sesame seeds
- pine nuts
- cream cheese for the base
Method of preparation:
1. Combine the flour and salt and grind into fine crumbs together with the cooled butter.
2. Add cream cheese and knead the dough.
3. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
4. Cut the tomatoes into slices.
5. Roll out the dough, spread the cream cheese on top.
6. Put the tomatoes, wrap around the edges and brush them with milk.
7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and nuts and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
8. Drizzle with olive oil, add mozzarella and fresh basil.
