Petal pickled cabbage is a quick-cooking appetizer. It is traditionally prepared with beets, garlic, and marinade. You can eat the dish in 2-3 days. It is perfectly stored in the refrigerator and goes well with all side dishes.

One of the culinary blogs (korusni_korusnosti) published a recipe for pickled cabbage "Petal" with beets on Instagram.

Cabbage ''Petal'' with beets

Ingredients:

  • cabbage - 1 pc
  • beets - 1 pc
  • garlic - 1 head
  • vegetable oil - 5-6 tbsp
  • bay leaves - 2-3 pcs
  • peppercorns - 10 pcs
  • vinegar - 150 ml

For the marinade:

  • water - 1.5 liters
  • salt - 3 tbsp
  • sugar - 6 tbsp. l.

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the cabbage, remove the head of cabbage, cut into large pieces similar to petals.

2. Peel the beets (raw) and cut into slices. Cut the garlic into slices as well. Put the chopped vegetables and spices in layers in a jar or container.

3. To prepare the marinade, pour water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Add salt and sugar to the boiling water. Stir and remove from the heat.

4. Pour vinegar and oil into a jar and fill it with the hot marinade.

5. Close the jar with a lid and refrigerate. You can eat it in three days. Enjoy!
