To make the classic chicken soup more delicious and satisfying, you need to add a few simple ingredients to the dish. We are talking about lentils and bulgur. Also, add some seasonal vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • chicken drumsticks – 4 pcs
  • water – 2-2.5 liters
  • garlic – 4 cloves
  • medium onion – 1 pc
  • chili pepper – 0.5 pods
  • tomatoes – 500 g
  • red bell pepper – 1 pc
  • bulgur – 100 g
  • lentils – 100 g
  • salt and pepper – to taste
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • chopped parsley for serving

Method of preparation:

1. Cover the chicken drumsticks with water and cook the broth for an hour.

2. When the foam appears, remove it.

3. Remove the drumsticks from the prepared broth.

4. Divide the meat into small pieces.

5. Finely dice the garlic, onion, and chili pepper.

6. Cut the tomatoes and peppers into medium dice.

7. Pour a small amount of oil into a saucepan and fry the garlic, onion, and chili for 3-4 minutes.

8. Add the chopped tomatoes, stir, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.

9. Pour the broth into the vegetables, bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes.

10. Add pepper, and cook for another 5 minutes.

11. Add well-washed bulgur, lentils, and cooked meat to the soup.

12. Add salt and ground pepper to taste and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.

13. When serving, sprinkle finely chopped fresh parsley on top of the soup.
