Chicken and cheese pie made from filo dough: even a child can handle it

When guests are on the doorstep and the fridge is empty, it's time to use filo dough, which should always be on hand. It can be used to make a delicious pie in a matter of minutes using any product.

This is exactly what a food blogger with the nickname thefoodhub.by_ilona did. On Instagram, she offered a recipe for a filo dough pie with chicken, cheese, and cream filling. The dish is perfect for dinner or a sudden arrival of guests.

Ingredients

  • Filo dough - 10 sheets
  • Cream - 250 ml
  • Suluguni cheese - 100 gr
  • Mozzarella - 100 gr
  • Chicken thighs without skin - 2-3 pcs
  • Onion - 1 pc
  • Butter - 1 pc
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method of preparation

1.Cut the onion in half rings, chop the garlic and chicken very finely.

2. Fry the onion and garlic until soft, add the chicken and fry until tender.

3. Add cream, bring to a boil and remove from heat.

4. Fold the filo dough into waves in a baking dish.

5. Generously brush the dough with melted butter.

6. Pour over the chicken mixture and sprinkle with cheese.

7. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 180-190 degrees, or until golden brown.

8. Serve chilled.
