Caesar salad of budget seasonal products: how to prepare a popular dish

Caesar salad is a dish that can often be found on the menu of expensive restaurants. But in the summer, it becomes very budget-friendly because you can use homegrown products or buy them at the market. The salad is very flavorful and, most importantly, fresh.

The idea of preparing a simple Caesar salad of seasonal products was published on Yana's (yana_bardych) Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • lettuce leaves
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • fillet - 1 pc
  • tomato - 1 large (or 2 small)
  • croutons
  • sour cream
  • garlic
  • French mustard
  • spice
  • olive oil

Method of preparation

1. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes.

2. Next, cut chicken fillet into strips or cubes, salt/pepper to taste and fry in a dry pan until golden brown.

3. Prepare the sauce: mix 2-3 tbsp of olive oil, the same amount of sour cream, 1 tsp of French mustard, salt/pepper to taste, and 2-3 squeezed cloves of garlic.

4. Prepare the croutons: cut the bread into cubes.

5. Drizzle with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and dry in a dry pan.

6. Next, wash and tear the lettuce leaves, add the sauce, and mix.

7. Next, slice the tomatoes and eggs and add them to the salad.

8. Add the fillet and finally the croutons.

9. You can grate Parmesan cheese on top.
