Budget plum galette: the idea was shared by Liza Hlinska
Plums are ideal for making quick desserts. These fruits are juicy, flavorful, and very easy to pit. In addition, this ingredient can now be found in any store or market at a fairly reasonable price. The pie is budget-friendly and will be enough for the whole family.
The idea of making a delicious plum galette was shared by the famous Ukrainian pastry chef Liza Hlinska on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- 180 g of butter (1 stick)
- 150 g of eggs (3 pcs)
- 150 g of sugar (1 cup)
- 10 g of baking powder (1 tbsp without a slide)
- vanilla sugar (optional)
- 150 g of flour (1 cup)
- 10 plums
Optional:
30 g sugar + 5 g butter
a glass with a volume of 200 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Beat the softened butter until it becomes fondant.
2. Add eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Eggs should be at room temperature. Mix until smooth.
3. Mix the flour and baking powder, and add to the main mass. Mix well.
4. Wash the plums, remove the pit, cut them in half.
5. Take a mold with a diameter of 22 cm. Cover the bottom with parchment.
6. Pour half the dough and spread it out. Put the plum in the next layer. Then the dough again and plums again.
7. Sprinkle with sugar and put in a preheated 180-degree oven with convection for 30-35 minutes.
8. Take it out of the oven, remove the mold and taste.
