Better than charlotte: recipe for a lush sponge cake with apricots in 30 minutes
Sponge cake is a perfect, tasty, light and fluffy dessert for tea, but it is not easy to make. It often turns out to be neither fluffy nor tall due to non-compliance with the proportions during preparation as well as due to mistakes in the cooking technique itself.
Cook Olena shared a recipe for a delicious, fluffy sponge cake with apricots that takes only 30 minutes to prepare on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- flour - 125 g
- sugar - 100 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- sugar for rolling - 80 g
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- water - 100 ml
- apricots - 5-6 pcs.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the apricots and cut them in half. Roll each half in sugar and put them in a mold. Pour water over and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
2. Beat butter with sugar, add eggs one by one, add flour and baking powder and knead smooth dough.
3. Put the dough on the baked apricots and bake for another 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar, it will be delicious!
